About
Kirah Collins is a professional dog trainer and behavior consultant. With extensive experience in training Search & Rescue and agricultural detection dogs, she also draws on her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Behavior to deepen her understanding of canine behavior.
Specializing in high-drive dogs, Kirah is passionate about working with a diverse range of breeds, skill levels, and behavioral issues. She particularly focuses on leash reactivity and fear-based behaviors, including avoidance, hyper-vigilance, freezing, and restlessness.
"Dedicated to fostering positive relationships between dogs and their people."
Kirah CollinsBackground & Approach
Her training services encompass basic and advanced obedience, leash manners, cooperative care, and behavior modification tailored to individual needs. Kirah's working-dog background, paired with her academic foundation in animal behavior, gives her a particularly grounded approach to high-drive and complex cases.
Kirah holds her Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) credential, and her work is centered on fostering positive relationships between dogs and their people.
Beyond the Clinic
Kirah has two dogs of her own: a retired Service Dog named Nalah and an Irish Wolfhound named Pebbles. In her leisure time, she enjoys hiking with her dogs, delving into a good book, and learning new songs on her cello.
