Welcome to Instinct Dog Behavior & Training Portland ("Instinct Portland," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website located at instinctportland.com, and your engagement with our dog training, behavior consulting, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By visiting our website, booking a session, or otherwise using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or Services.

1. Our Services

Instinct Portland provides private coaching, home school training, memberships, and related dog behavior and training services delivered by our team of trainers, behavior consultants, and veterinary behaviorists. Program details, pricing, and availability are described on our website and may be updated from time to time.

2. Bookings, Payments & Cancellations

Sessions and programs must be booked and paid for in accordance with the terms provided to you at the time of booking. We ask for at least 48 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a scheduled session; late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee. Membership and package terms, including any renewal or refund policies, will be provided separately at enrollment.

3. Client & Dog Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate information about your dog's health, behavior, and history prior to and during our work together, including any history of aggression, bite incidents, or medical conditions. You agree to keep your dog current on required vaccinations and to follow the safety guidance provided by our team during in-person sessions.

4. Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability

Working with dogs, particularly dogs with behavioral challenges, carries inherent risk, including the risk of bites, scratches, property damage, or other injury. By engaging our Services, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume these risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Instinct Portland and its trainers, consultants, and staff are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in our programs, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

5. No Guarantee of Results

Dog behavior is influenced by many factors outside our control. While we bring science-based, relationship-focused methods to every case, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or timelines for behavior change, and no statement by our team should be understood as a guarantee.

6. Photo, Video & Testimonial Release

We may photograph or record video during sessions for training documentation, educational purposes, or marketing. Unless you tell us in writing that you'd prefer to opt out, you grant Instinct Portland permission to use images, video, and testimonials related to your sessions on our website, social media, and marketing materials.

7. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and training materials — is the property of Instinct Portland or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.

8. Privacy
